Clean Coal
Coal is a fossil fuel that was formed millions of
years ago from plant remains preserved by
mud and water. Today, coal is the number
one fuel source for generating electricity,
worldwide. The United States has 27% of the world's coal
- more than any other country in the world -
enough to last us another 200 to 250 years. Because coal is so abundant in America - it
supplies over half of our electricity. This is an
enormous amount of energy that we have to
exploit in order to solve our energy crisis.
